Floating Breakwater Constructed for Istinye Marina
The floating breakwaters constructed for Istinye Marina were towed through the Bosphorus and secured as a group in Istinye Bay.
Each of the four manufactured blocks measures 8 x 20 x 5 meters, has a draft of 4 meters, and a displacement of 168 tons.
With a total length of 80 meters, the breakwater is secured in Istinye Bay by chains to a total of 36 mooring blocks, each weighing 12 tons and installed at a depth of 25 meters.
Floating Breakwater Constructed for Tarabya Marina
The floating breakwaters constructed for Tarabya Marina were towed through the Bosphorus and secured in two groups in Tarabya Bay.
Each of the 10 manufactured blocks measures 8 x 20 x 5 meters, has a draft of 4 meters, and a displacement of 168 tons.
The breakwaters were assembled in two groups, consisting of six and four blocks respectively.
The breakwaters, measuring 120 meters and 80 meters in length, are secured in Tarabya Bay by chains to a total of 68 mooring blocks, each weighing 12 tons and installed at a depth of 25 meters.
As standard, reinforced concrete floating dock units are manufactured with widths ranging from 2.4 m to 4.0 m and lengths ranging from 10.0 m to 20.0 m. When on-site production conditions are available, production capacity can reach floating blocks up to 8.0 m in width and 20.0 m in length.
Upon request, wider and longer blocks can also be manufactured at the project site.
In addition to width and length dimensions, production can also be carried out with freeboard dimensions other than the standard 0.45 m, 0.50 m, and 0.55 m.
Reinforced concrete floating breakwaters have been manufactured for various projects in widths ranging from 4.0 m to 8.0 m. Their lengths are generally 20.0 m, while total heights range from 2.0 m to 5.0 m. Draft and freeboard dimensions are evaluated separately according to the requirements of each project.
Hot-dip galvanized reinforcing steel is used in all reinforced concrete structures.
The reinforced concrete is fibre-reinforced C40 concrete. All mounting components of the floating dock and floating breakwater blocks are manufactured entirely from hot-dip galvanized steel or stainless steel.
High-load-capacity, flexible steel-cable connection elements are used to connect the floating blocks to one another.
The contact points are equipped with specially designed neoprene pads.
ISO 9001:2008 quality management principles are followed throughout the design, engineering, and manufacturing processes.
Project support is also provided for floating marine structures. Within this scope, we have completed numerous projects both domestically and internationally that have been approved by the relevant authorities.
